Default Just picked up my first Lexus

I just got my 1993 Lexus SC300. It has 140000 on the clock but still runs very nice. Its definitly a step up from my 1990 mustang, but not as fast and doesnt handle as well. The more I drive the SC the more I like it. I had 2 '92 Subaru SVX's and those car's feel very similar to the SC. The only problem I seem to have with the car is that it has small green spiders inside and all over the outside. They come out at night. Any tips on critter control?
I look forward to spending time in the Lexus community...

Thanks

Larry

SVX's are dead silent on the highway. There is a ton of sound deadening in them. The windows take some getting used too but they run hard on the highway(but terrible from a stop). They are definitly quicker than my SC. They have a lot of strengths but the tranny's are super crappy. Wheel bearings tend to wear out quickly but the interiors and engine hold up very well. They definitly draw a lot of looks with the windows.

hey welcome larry, look forward to seeing pics of your new sc- cant wait - as for the spiders - you wont want to use a bomb in your sc- big mistake- you yourself or have someone detail the interior and have them wipe wherever its hard to get too- it sounds like they may be reproducing - all i guess i can say is kill them when you see them and clean your vehicle- common sense stuff- anywho- picks please

Congrats man! My household has gone through 3 SVX's. Nice cars, but your definately right about the craptastic transmissions and wheel bearings. I was once pulled over by a cop and he began pulling on the "top" part of my window and stating it was an "illegal modification"..
Also, my favorite part was probably the dash, I loved the buttons, climate control, and of course the cover for the stereo. man do I miss it.
Too bad the looks are way outdated..
