How many people have non working factory keyless entry?

Does anyone know if the 94.9 test needs to be done on the radio in the car you're trying to unlock, or will it make a sound on any car tuned to 94.9? I ask because my Celsior radio has a normal range of 76.0-90.0, and currently has an adapter to pick up 96.0-110.0, so there's no way to get that station in the car.

The FM radio trick while set on 94.9 should work with any radio. I have two digital dial FM's (in addition to the one in the car) and my key will cause a tiny bit of static on each when the button is pushed. The key is from a 94 SC300.

the green piece or the silver looking solder piece? if its the green piece, yes you will need another one.
if its the silver looking solder goop, then its just a small piece of wire and some solder, just have someone good with a soldering iron redo the connection.

My keyless locking/unlocking has not worked since I replaced the battery in my RX-300. The problem is not the key, but rather something related to the signal receiver in the car. Assistance in repair would be greatly appreciated.
