Dash Light Question

When I put the car in drive the "D" light does not come on in the instrument cluster...is it just the light bulb??? becasue the others work like R,2,L,P.....

correct. I prefer mine NOT to come on. It looks cleaner without it. Kinda obvious when you are in drive so..........
