so in the last couple of months there have been a lot of new threads regarding drifting.
so out of curiousity i wanted to know who likes it or not. and of course some funny reasons why

 

i like to see peepo drift, but i cant drift...i dont even wanna try.

 

I picked the "whatever I do what I want" option. I picked it because I like to go illegal street racing alot, a couple drag sessions at the track, a couple twisties on mountain roads at high speeds, and im just barely getting into drifting.

 

finally something to do after snowboarding or hiking. it the best thing since peanut butter and jelly.

 

it was cool a couple of years ago....but now its too mainstream. i mean if f&f3 will have it...its dead.

 

I really like drifting, it's so much more exciting than drag racing (my opinion). But I have no intention of drifting my sc, although I would very much like to try it if it was a manual.

 

Its "OK"

Drag racing, autoX, drifting.. its all fun. I dont really care for it, i wouldnt consider it a "sport", but its fun to watch. I wouldnt call it "racing" or anything, more like a past time. I drift my stock SC sometimes, but i would never build a car just to drift.

If i were to put a bunch of money into my car and make it into something specific, it would be to race it SCCA, so i can race agenst other ppl on famous roadcourses

 

too sad drifting only become famous for couple years in the states...
I was watching and fall in love with it 6 years ago when I watch OPTION Video.

drifting is aight but i'm just more of a cruiser (no ends to buy tires or if something breaks)

 

I love it, just not in my sc. A tried in my sc, but its a pig and ALWAYS will be. It doesn't even come close to the 240sx in drift capability even though im almost 100 percent positive it handles better in the twisties than my 240 ever did.

 

Drifting's ok, but I'm more into wangan and touge

 

drifting and power sliding are two completely different things and ricers need to figure this out...... both are stupid in my opinion mostly a bunch of 16 yr old kids that just get their licenses and think they're already pro "drifters" so they go out, buy a beat 240SX, talk about all these future plans that will never happen, crash it, get a hand me down, then stop dreaming.....

 

drifting but it's seriously going to get gay after FF3 comes out. People are just going to kill it.

its a cool sport and all but as far as actually doing it i enjoy road racing more.

 

You should have had an option that said "Been doing it before all these yuppie kids thought it was cool and main stream."

It's nice that it has become a little bit more popular and all. But I'm sick of all these kids that wanna be cool and go drifting because they think it's a fad. We all know that it has been around for years and that it started in the mountain passes in japan. But thanks to series like Formula D, all they are doin is bastardizing it and trying to make it a money thing like HIN. Which if you ask me is a joke when it comes to judging.
