What are you using to pollish the actual housings (plastic parts at least)? I've been using Blue magic plastic polish for a while but it sucks. I'll usually do 400/600/800/1000/1500/2000 wet sand, then jump to a heavy cut rubbing compound, then the plastic polish, then metal polish. But it seems even the jump from the 2000 grit paper to the crap rubbing compound (turtle wax red heavy cut) seems too far. I've got some of the griots garage stuff coming, and I'm going to try that out. If all else fails I think I saw that the meguiars pro line has a 3 step system when I was in picking up the pro line clay bar for my car yesterday.

Very cool,OLT. A couple of questions.
Was there much of a smell left after you put the lights in the oven? Gotta make sure I don't tick off the missus.
The other question was did you use anything to remove the previous adhesive or is it necessary?

I left it up to the imagination as to how people prefer to remove the old adhesive, but if you want my 5 cents the best way to do it by far is a straight razor knife.
