Headlights left-on indicator doesn't work
 

With my '92 SC400, there isn't any indicator that I have left the headlights on. Is there supposed to be one, and if so, what can I check to see why mine isn't working? The dome light functions fine.

No they cut off automatically

The headlights will auto turn off when you open the door, ie: when you shut the engine off and open the door the headlights will turn off..

In my 1991 Soarer there is no headlights left-on indicator..

How long does it take for them to go off? I usually lock the door from the inside before closing it, and after at least 10 minutes they were still on. The reason why I ask is because a week ago I left my lights on, and when I came back to my car the battery was completely dead. 0 CCA. Does this work for the passenger side as well? I have been exiting from the passenger side as my drivers side door is broken until this upcoming Monday.

It should just turn off when the instant you open your drivers door, no delay or anything.
