Default Windows roll down sometimes HELP..

Hi, I just bought a 1992 lexus sc 400 a week ago, the lady told me the driver window rolls up and down sometimes, after I bought the car, both windows didn't work, but today to my surprise the driver window rolled up and I could roll the passenger window down up no probelm, it also rolls smooth, I checked all fuses and they all work, Does anyone know what the probelm is, I was about to buy new window motors too but now I know they work, What could the probelm be?any help would be appreciated, thank you.

This happened to me awhile ago...the techs here at Lexus ran a series of tests(Including switching out master switches with another SC) and found that the wires that run through the doors near the door hinge was pinching up somewhere. The light on the master switch would come on after so many times opening and closing the doors. We manually fed power to the motor and the regulators and both sides worked...
So I got tired of it and bought me a set of used door wire harnesses...hopefully this will solve the problem...

It's either the master switch or the wire harness to the switch.

I think anytime you replace an old switch you are doing yourself a favor. that one day it rains the window will get stuck down If any further problems come along have the wiring inspected. Wiring problems are rare. Generally always blame the switch first.
