Default How to stop/remove this?

Guys,

Just recently had new rotors and wheel spacers but on the rear of my car. A week later I have this

Looks awful because my wheels are so open. How can I get rid of it and stop it from happening again?? Can I use the same stuff you use to paint calipers??

Thx,
Jonny

Doubt they are. They wouldnt of looked like that already.. Get them zinc coated. Or sand the rust off and paint it with caliper paint

Regular Engine Enamel works just fine. I have it on my calipers, too.

did you tape off a circle on the rotor or did you paint the whole thing and let the pads scrape off the paint?

I painted the hats and outer perimeter with no masking. The rotor faces were not painted directly but naturally had slight overspray. The pads took care of the rest. Here's a shot after painting but before installation:

so you just approximated the edge of contact area with the pad... and let the pad scrape off the places you went too far. did you do anything about the edge of the rotor? that rusts sometimes too

edit: just re-read your last post.... im an idiot hehe

I sanded off all my rust and painted mine this week, too. I chose aluminum brake caliper paint, but any high-heat paint will do. I masked everything off, but left just a bit of room around the edges for the calipers to take care of the rest... just so it came out perfectly rounded, unlike the set I did that had sharp edges b/c I masked off everything. I also painted my calipers "racing red" temporarily until I upgrade my brakes... just so they don't look rusty.
