Finally Got The Chance To Ride In My First Twin Turbocharged Soarer
Hello all,
I am back from working 3 weeks on a military base in central Japan, and I got a chance to ride in a twin-turbo SOARER!!! BOY WHAT A RIDE!! I finally got a chance to see what all the fuss about the straight 6 cylinder engine was all about. Makes my 1UZ-FE engine seem like a stone in comparison.
There were tons of ARISTO's there as well, with the V300 engine. The owner of the SOARER says that though he will not bring the car back here, he will gut the car, and ship the engine, transmission and computer back when he comes home in about 6 months.
Petrol is quite expensive there as well...about $1.25 a LITER for 110 octane premium unleaded fuel . Paying nearly 5 bucks a gallon for fuel like that may be worth it, if performance is desired over everything else.
I will try to upload a few pictures of the car and engine on my next post. I got to see quite a few fast looking cars over there, and even a heavily modified SCION XB...Really AWESOME.
Overall, this trip to Japan was really eye-opening. The modifications on cars over there are endless. I can't wait to go back again in about 3 months.

You think $5 per gallon is good...... ?
Fine then you can come over to the UK and pay the $7.00 per gallon that I pay for Shell Optimax 98ron.....
Just about all of the $7 is used for Taxes.... Taxes are what makes the UK suck big time !!
You have it real good in the states with regards to the pump prices, I know that if they ever hiked the prices up like they do over here there would be major riots happening
Part of the reason it is like it is over here (the UK) is because the British do not complain and stand up for themselves.... In fact it is much like the play 'Oliver' where the little boy gets up and says "Thank you sir, may I have another"

The UK has has massive taxation at every level and yet the t0ssers tell us there is no more money for pensions or healthcare or policing or transport improvements, so WHERE THE **** IS ALL THE MONEY THEY STEAL FROM US EVERY SINGLE DAY ?

Oh definitely, I agree with you 100% Bill, that was in reply to Gamer's response
But yeah, we get bitten in the *** and then some when it comes to everything that recieves excise tax over here in Australia... the three things people can't live without...
* Petrol
* Alcohol
* Cigarettes
The rate that petrol has been jacked up though is ridiculous.

Pictures Of The Soarer Engine And Others
HELLO,
I think I figured out how to upload pictures, so here goes. Japan has some awesome cars. I HAVE to include some pictures of one of the prettiest SCION XB's I have ever seen. Let me give it a try!!!
I give up!!! All of my files are too big. 100K is the largest. When I find a way to reduce the size, I will try again.
SORRY!
