Exclamation

Has anyone had troubles with the drivers side window controlers? the passenger window works fine, but the controler on the driver side will not control either the passenger or the driver side window, the sunroof works fine, and all the other switches on the drivers side door work fine. just the two window switches. Any Ideas? If not, anyone know where to get ahold of the wiring diagram?

Yes, I have the same problem with my '92 SC 300. I haven't investigated any fixes since it does still work.
Thanks,
David.

I realized after my post that I don't have exactly the same problem. On the driver's side there are 2 window switches (driver's and passenger's). The passenger's switch works fine, but the driver's works only when you pull up VERY hard. I have been told it is only the switch and since it still works, I don't want to shell out the $150 for the part.

Thanks,
David.

HEY DAVID.....I had the same problem w/ my drivers side door switch. I had to pull hard on it to get it to come up, and the AUTO down function stopped working. I just took the switch apart and when i did, it looked like something had chipped off but the part that had chipped off didnt look like it would have effected anything. I just suck something small in b/t the white sliding piece and the gray piece. (u will understand if u take it apart.) and now it works fine.

Indeed different problems. I got to look at a wiring diagram at a stereo shop here in town, and noticed a relay on the system. Thought that might have something to do with it, and when i got home, found two relays that look like the one on the diagram. popped one, tried it, nothing, popped the other, tried it, nothing, and put them both back in and the controllers worked for an hour or so. Today, i get nothing. I went hunting for a replacement for those two relays, and i believe they are a dealer only kind of part. any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
