How to tell if ECU is 5-speed or AUTO?
Simple question,
I have seller that can't distinguish if the ECU is a 5-speed or AUTO. There are no markings like the Supra ECU's.
Thanks

seller should know what car it was pulled from
or you could call the dealer and find out part #'s for both auto and manual and compare to the one that the seller has

All Toyota ECUs have markings on them for engine and transmission. It will always say 1jzgte AT, 2jzge MT, etc... If theres nothing on it then it could be aftermarket, and if it is then it should be labeled still. If its totally blank with no markings then i would just walk away

remember it saying something like 2jz-ge 5-speed or something like that. so if you look at it you should be able to distinguish what it is.
