yeah, guess what I had nothing on the car except Comphrensive!!! 250.00 deductible!
Well, I am an insurance agent myself...but it don't help me to get better paid out..anyway, at least I know how to get the most out of it....
Can recover everything tho... I had over 10000 on this car and they probably will only pay 8000ish...
I hope they don't find the car because otherwise I will get it back striped!
Anyway, I will see how it turns out.
Thank you all for the replies.....

i think it depends on the insurance. my aunt who works for AAA and she deals with the insurance for my family, i asked her and she said that as long as i keep all the receipts of parts i had on the car, they will reimburse me for that... but that's only if it gets stolen, car accident total is another story tho.

Hope you get your car back in one peice. Someone tried to steal my car a couple of weeks ago, but because I was working on it and I took the battery out, they could not take it. They broke my drivers side door panel and cut my steering wheel(had on the club just in case). Thanks God they didn't take any of my electronics out of the car or esle I would have a dead car to drive.

Condolences, dude. This truly sux! I hope they find the car in one piece and the crook in many pieces. Glad I keep my ride in a locked garage with an armed security system. Too many b@$tards out there that would rather steal something from someone than work for it themselves. Good thing about Vegas is that, if you catch the crook, there are many places out in the desert to leave the body.

Hey man,

I hope the jackasses who stole it went easy on it. Also hope karma catches up to them and they get their asses pounded.

Default Some advice

Take a digital camera to the yard when you go to see the car. Take pictures of top, bottom, engine, etc etc,
When my Supra was located in San Diego a few years ago, I went to go see it and it had a wing on it, and a battery.
When they shipped it to me a week later, it was without wing and battery.
They stole the stuff in the lot that held my car.
At least you will have proof if there is a problem later.
Good luck.

Any news? I would be devasted if my car got stolen, as with everyone else. I hope she's drivable and has most of the parts.

Sorry to hear the bad news, but at least it has been recovered (fingers crossed there is no real damage, or missing items). Totally sucks, especially since you just got done with the car! And it came out sooooo sweet too! I can empathize as I had a low rider Chevy S-10 stolen back in the early 90's, AND it had over $6000 worth of stereo equipment in it. To all those preaching an alarm......Trust me, the worlds greatest alarm is no more than a 15 second delay for an experienced thief!! If they want it they will take it! The only effective thing is a starter kill. And not one that kills the ignition without the key. You want one that kills the ignition roughly 30-60 seconds after the car starts without a key. That way the thief is already moving when the car dies. He'll try to restart but it wont. Panic will set in when he's sitting in a car that is dead in the middle of the road. More times than not he'll bail. My car may be in the middle of the street in the middle of the night but it's better than it being in some chop shop!!!

Good luck BlackSC, hope it all works out!

just out of curiousity now.... How easy is it to steal a 400/300 (assuming that they did not bring a flat bed to take it.)??
