Heated seats, how long to get hot?
I test drove a 98 sc300 the other day and it seemed to take forever until the seats started to heat. It was about 30Falso, it's not like it was -20F or anything. Do all SC's heated seats take ~ 5min to start to feel warm?
Thanks
Thanks

Its normal for them to take that long. The elements have to go through the leather which is faily thick. Try them in some cheap vynil or cloth seats and they get hot much quicker.

Thanks for the reply dentpusher. That's a nice looking SC you have there, looks just like the one I drove. Do you think 14.8k for a '98 sc300 with 61k on it it is too much?

Thanks, Just put my polished tt wheels on and need to change the pic. As far as the 98 SC according to the NADA its there but you can only get what the market can bare so may be a little high.

I have a 98 SC300; they take about 5 min to get warm as well.
I'd say 14.8k for that car is fair. Doesn't hurt to try and talk them down :-) I believe NADA value is 16.5k or so.

yeah i was wondering the same thing about the seats on mine. I guess that its normal for SC's. Has anybody ever tried to get some more powerful elements from another car? Any other car that i've ridden in with heated seats, it takes about 45 seconds to get completely warm. These cars weren't cheap ones either.
