i'm glad to hear you're ok. i hope the insurance pays you what you deserve. insurance can be a pain in the butt to deal with. i still have issues with my insurance company from an accident last year (1/31/04). but part of the reason for the lag is me...i've just been too busy. good luck with everything

Really sorry to hear wha happen. My SC was hit not to long ago too but it was just a fender bender. I never thought that would ever happen to your car....just show you it could happen to any of us one of these days. For the car choice i like the g35 and the gs400 (either one), if u go for the lex, isn't the is430 coming out this yr or next yr?

At least there's a select few holding it down and representing the way it should be done.

I think the SC crowd is just fine.
Only problem is there's not enough of us and it looks like were getting even smaller.
Every meet I go to is dominated by GS and IS.
I don't get how some of you guys can let go of your SCs especially after putting SO much work into them.
I know I'll be driving my SC until the wheels fall off (only if all at the same time).

the SC crowd has always been small. I think the largest SC "only" meet we ever had was like 15 cars a while back. But, with that being said, the "crowd" i was referring to is specifically aimed at the crowd who wants something for basically nothing.
Most are like "ballers on a budget." Like they always say, gotta pay to play. Don't be suprised that all the OG veteran members will not post here anymore. I've been seeing this trend happening for years now. We're a dead breed. Major props to all of you who have such clean rides, and are willing to go to that extra mile just to separate yourselves from the rest. It's kinda sad that everyone wants a "steal" instead for a "deal."
Anyone can say what they want, this is my opinion. I KNOW FOR A FACT that others feel the same way.

We've already lost important guys (Manaray) because of this...
Don't believe me? Browse the GS forums for a bit and tell me how many threads are for cheap, free, or ebay mods.
SC's are too accessible and the demographic is changing. It's happened before to me with prior cars (Celica All-Trac Turbo).
This is a Lexus, people. Not a Honda Civic where it's cool to drive slammed on black stealies and no hubcaps. Budget Ricer Civics are the accepted norm. In a Lexus you have to step up the game. Look at the GS boys if you don't understand what I'm saying.

you guys are 100% right but what are you gonna do but go with the flow sometimes or just fall off teh face of the earth for a bit.
well guys here is a pic from last nite i took of the SC might pics more tonight but the gallery takes forever to load.
i think its pretty bad, what you dont see is that the engine and whole front end shift towards the passneger side as you see the driver side fender is behind the door what do you guys think is it repairable or totalled.
edit: for pic

There's no point in trying to salvage that.
It's up to you do decide whether you want to buy back the car for a minimal amount and part it out.
Good luck.

That sucks... I just recently totaled my 4runner in almost the same way... Good luck in fighting with the insurance about who is at fault, in my case they just said since I hit him in the rear i'm at fault (AAA) Heh, whatever... Just miss my daily driver... Glad your ok buddy, cars can be replaced but we only get one chance with our bodies... PS. buy the car back and help us other PW sc drivers hehehe... Take care buddy.... Bryan
