Angry sc400 radiator warning light problem

i have a 92 sc400 had an overheating problem when i bought it (bad radiaitor and stuff) i replaced the radiator, all hoses even the trans fluid hoses, all the coolant, the radiator cap (resivior) and the thermostat. now the engine temp dsplay is right on the half mark at idle.. and the radiator carousel light stays on. my questions are what can i do to fix it as the fluid is full and i filled the system up properly from the top of the engine, ran it on max hot/max cold and filled the resivior. and 2 where does the engine temp gage usually sit when the car is on idle non driven but warmed up?
