Default $1000 to spend

If you had $1000 to spend on a stock SC3 5-speed, what would you start with?

$1000 is not enough for wheels and tires so I'd save up until you could get a nice set of those.

Otherwise? SUSPENSION.

This is of course considering your car is in tip-top shape and requires NO maintenance, check ups, or repairs. If it does, do that first. Never mod a car that's not 100% mechanically sound.

assuming the above is complete..... since u have not mentioned it in your mods...A DROP....
Its funny... a drop can make even stock rims look good. Although, as soon as u drop it u will need to get some rims to truly bring the car out.

Maintenance and tires, unless that is all up to par. Suspension bushings and sway bars and probably save the rest for coilovers or a spring strut combo with a nice drop.

If you’re a power freak, then I would start with an LSD, header, exhaust, AFC, or any other power mod you like.

Supra brakes are nice too.

I guess it’s all what your looking for. I’m a power freak but I believe power is useless without control. So I’m doing suspension stuff first, LSD, brakes, and then power. I figure with 500HP you need to be able to control it or things can get out of hand.

$1000 can go a long ways or a little, just depends on where you’re going with it.

I'd have to say get a nice cat-back exhaust for your car for around $600. You will have $400 left to spend on minor items that may need to be replaced (such as your headlights if theyre cloudy).

If you're straight with that already, I'd save some more and put it towards a turbo or a nice set of wheels. I see you have the 97 conversion already.

First and foremost, I would do the maintenance first. If that is already done with, I would go with the 97+ tails and Phillips HID to give that newer refreshed look.

I'd go to Vegas and get a hooker

JK man. I know it is boring to hear - but go with maintenance first - that way u get to enjoy your future mods later.

Peace,
jonny

i bought tein basics and used chrome supra rims with tires for $1000 total. Deals are out there. and with another 250-300 u can have 4 piston calipers and bigger rotors. I think big brakes are the best bang for the buck. But for if your trying to make your sc look better coilovers should definately come first, they even look good with stock rims. and I'd pick up a spoiler as well, it makes the car looks nicer.

we all know its not gonna end with $1000 dollars though thats just the beggining.

get some nice konnie racing suspension, before all else you should get breaks suspension and get the stearing adjusted to ur personal style atm i have my stearing set at 1.5 rotations = full lock its little things that can improve ur driving experiance like that overtime.
