Does anyone else find it interesting is that our cars weigh 3492lbs (stock), yet the LFA weighs 3583lbs ?
It's gotta be the V10 engine & drivetrain, 'cus the sub-frame is aluminum, and the body panels are carbon-fiber; although they say it's engine weighs less than a V6.
This kinda gives me a lot of hope for our cars (Im not sure how, but it just does, haha) ...

I got rid of the bulky OEM front seats...using S2K seats & love them. I'll be getting SEIBON cf hood & trunk.

took my car over the scales and was 3450. Ive since installed a much lighter exhaust, gutted the trunk and the rear seat area. Ive also installed two racing seats to ditch the heavy stock ones

When I take my seats out, I'm going to weigh them. We need to start a nice database of weights to see where we can get the most to lose.

I would like to know if I can bring the weight down to ~3000

I would also try to choose the lightest wheels possible (without being ugly); people talk a lot about body-panels, and interior parts, but don't forget, wheels play a part in overall-weight as well, it's not just about how easily they can turn ...

I weighed my old seats and have the numbers at work. If you go back through this thread there is list of compiled numbers. I switched to Solara wheels with 225 width tires on the front and after market wheels on the rear as well as full size spare.

I posted in the summer that I went with a smaller battery for weight savings and more engine bay room. All summer the battery started great even on the hottest day, but this winter not driving the car much the small battery has been draggy so I add a jump pack on start-up. If you had to low voltage you might cause your starter to stay engaged. That would be very bad, so be careful in this regard.
