...I was to sell my GS400 and buy a SC300. What year could I get (or would I want) for, say, around $15,000? How much would a Turbo setup like SC300T's cost? Would it run reliably? I really like the Supra, but it's value seems a little high. I assume it would cost less to mod and own a Lexus SC.
Strange thing happened today...A fellow was driving his Lexus SC400 down our city main street and I was following. My japanese-are-junk friend said, "Now that's a nice car." It's elegance certainly displays itself well -- especially to get my friend to say that. I did not used to like the SC. But the years of brand loyalty and enthusiasm for Lexus have made me appreciate the first gen. design.
Thanks,
Brian

Brian, come over to the dark side!
A conservative kit like Scott's is very reliable. When you go toward the more extreme end of the scale you start breaking a lot of stuff. Now, if perhaps I were a little easier on my car, it would hold up better, but instead I pound on it daily. I'd bet Scott's car has almost zero problems, but still has enough power to beat 99% of the cars on the road.
