What's wrong with my lights?!?

I was just driving the SC and when I was on the way home I passed a cop, so when I got a distance away I flashed my brights to oncoming cars to give them a heads up. When I let go of the lever I noticed that the brights didn't hold. I don't drive the car much at all seeing as it is my wife's car, but when you pull the lever back shouldn't the brights stay in the "on" position until you again pull the lever? I hope I'm not wrong because I don't feel like being laughed at :)

Also... I noticed that when I turn my right blinker on my right fog lamp comes on and when the blinker is dis-engaged the light goes off. The left fog light doesn't work so it doesn't do that when I turn the left blinker on. Is this normal?

Do I need a new module or am I just stupid or something :(

push the bar away from u and the lights will hold, most if not all new cars have that feature

High beams -

pull back = flash lights

push forward = high beams

Front cornering lamps are just that........ cornering lamps, not driving lights. They light in the corners to help you negotiate the turn.

:)

You can mod the turning lights to stay on permanently, this is what I've done with mine anyway because the stock light beam sucks IMO...

Yea I really need to get around to doing that sometime soon. I hate my cornering lights, I want fogs grr. Should I just follow the intructions on intellexual, or are there some better ones?

I'd say use Rich's FAQ for the turning light mod.

I can't recall if I used it totally but, mine was a really simple fix. All I did was tap into the LHS parker wire for the positive power down to the lights themselves and fitted a relay to cut the power whenever I need to. Cops are pretty *****y about having your fog/spotlights on in the city for some reason :egads:

Yeah, I asked my wife about the brights and she was like "uh... you push it forward to make them stay on"
I didn't really investigate it. It was like 11p.m. and I just noticed that the lights didn't stay on hi-beam when I pulled it back so I was like "huh, thats weird." I just walked in the door and posted this thread right after that.

As for the cornering lights, I didn't know that there was a such thing. I guess I was deprived of such features being as I have only dealt with acura/honda vehicles before.

- most vehicles function this way (high beams) or one way or another

- cornering lamps are usually found on the following vehicles:

- Buick LeSabre
- Buick Park Avenue
- Lincoln Continental
- Lincoln MK VI through MK VIII
- Lincoln Town Car
- Cadillac (ANY)
- Some Nissan Stanza/Altima/Maxima (old)

I could go on and on.....but you get the picture ;)
- Oldsmobile
