Talking HIDs....just installed.

I just installed my McCulloch 4700K HIDs. Even though it is mid day, I notice a huge difference. I iwll take pics later tonight, but the cut off line looks good and it doesn't seem to be scattering, but thats just from inside the garage (the darkest place I could find) Can't wait to go out for my night drive.

Derek if your pics look good I may invest in this kit. For a little over $200 it would be a better investment than my stupid Injen Intake (worthless!!!, well except for looks..but no one ever looks at my engine!!) I can't see crap at night with these lousy stock headlights. I'm tired of hitting potholes!! Can't wait for pics, and if you say you can already tell a noticable difference in daylight I'm sure that at night your visibility will be greatly improved. That price juust seems too good to be true. Anyone else have experience with this kit? What's the quality? Is it plug and play?

most of these kits are plug and play, very easy to install and takes minutes to do...

McCulloch is a good kit but I heard they went out of business? is this true?

$200 is probably a used price or one heck of a bargain price...plugnplay hid kits usually run you at least $300

be sure to read Rich's HID writeup...very good stuff!

I happened to meet him today when he stopped in where I work for a minute. They looked delicious, and I'm sure they're going to be great at night

Ideas for your next mod: GTE SWAP

K whats up man. (Yeah, GTE next )
Alright, I have a bunch of pics if anyone wants me to email them. As for the price, I got them for $250 off EBay, brand new.
Mike, it is a plug and play kit and took about 10 min. to install both lights....VERY EASY.

Result: AT LEAST 200% better visibility. It looks amazing. I just went driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway (around 10 PM) and i know Russia can back me up in saying it is pitch black out there at night, and the lights were incredible, no need to use high beams b/c they didn't do anything. Here are the pics (remember the camera changes hues a little as well as monitors so...) Also, i got 4700K, so it is not as blue/purple/etc. A 6000K setup will be more blue and so on. However, the 4700K puts out more light so....

This first shot is the SC /w HIDs and the 4Runner w/ SilverStars

yeah, I took a ride out there in the A4 right after I bought it and before I had discovered just how poorly aimed my headlights were. Without HID, it's highbeams or death I don't even think my silverstars will get the job done on the parkway at night.

get out your manual and checkout the headlight section, should hopefully tell you how to aim them. I just had to fix mine. Make sure they don't aim too far over though, cause they're designed to have a slight bias to the right so that oncoming traffic doesn't get blinded by the glare.

...sorry for the post-whoring
