There is absolutely no chance that my Lexus dealer would do that. This is the same dealer that refused to sell me a cupholder for my 93 SC, b/c "Lexus doessn't like people tinkering w/ things that aren't stock." Maybe your dealer treats you differently (& hopefully they do for your sake), but my initial instincts would tell me that a dealer wouldn't install them for you. There's no harm in asking though. Good luck w/ your project, let us know how it works out.

Love your pics , looks great, thinking about doing it myself now, especially considering the quick & easy installation. The soarer emblem on your front bumper looks really clean. Out of curiosity, where did you get it & what was the price???

Good thread

silverbolt, thanks for the kind words. I got the soarer emblem off ebay. Haven't seen them on there recently though. I also had the rear soarer emblem, but decided not to put it on b/c shaving the back was a lil too costly for me

Your HIDs look awesome. This was one of my favorite mods to do that was really easy. It makes a huge difference at night.

I just bought a HID conversion kit for my tacoma and then immediately ordered one for the low beams on my SC400, as they (low beams) really are kinda pathetic. I bought them from VVME (designed in Germany made in China) for about $60 for the pair of 9006 (the company was recommended by Motorcycle Consumer News after a test. I got a call from the LA offices of DHL, the shipper. Seems Customs and DOT are starting to snag some of these - idiots.. I had to fill out about 4 pieces of paper and fax them to the DHL people in LA. Hopefully they'll let them in - and hopefully the same ******** customs dude doesn't snag the set that's coming in for the SC...

Got the kit in and it really look good - not cheapo.

Just put them in - really easy. Hardest thing to do was to find a place to mount the
ballasts but I found a place in the front of the car.

They lit right up and wow what a difference these made. My stock high beams are fine some I'm not gonna mess with them. I did end up getting a relay with the kit to avoid straining the stock wiring.

Funny how the ones for my truck got caught at customs but the ones the my Lex sailed right through ! If you have about $90 to spend and a couple of hours max, I'd highly recommend this upgrade.

I just converted my low beams and foglights into 6k HID...Would converting my highbeams to 6k HID be too much overkill?
