I believe the 91s were only RHD in Japan Australia etc. We didn't get them till 92. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm going to do this without searching.
I believe the sc models run 92-94 being identical. Wasn't this the 1jz engine?
Then 95-96 had some minor exterior changes. Wasn't this the 2jz engine?
Then 97-00 had some more pronounced exterior changes and the vvi engine.
Same basic shape from 92-00.

I know a lot about wheels/tires. Know some about music. Know some about exterior mods. I'm not an expert. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I wanted to test myself. I'm confident I got at least a c+ or b-.

And you shouldn't SurreDeth. Glad to see another newbie! Just found this site amazing site!

ReggieK, although I'm new...I would have to say you are correct about the generations and updates.

Another rare thing that people don't notice is that the steering wheel has changed in 99-00. This is an factory upgrade I would love to do on my 97. Does anyone know if this can be done without changing the entire steering column. Can I just swap the wheel and airbag?

When I went searching for me SC400, I knew I wanted either a 97 or 98, In 1998 that was the last year for the 4 spoke steering wheel of which I wanted, I think that wheel looks & feels the best, has the best grip points, I naturally like to lay my hands on the bottom & steer that way alot. When Lexus changed the wheel in 1999, although they called it sportier wheel, I prefer the 4 spoke instead of the 3 spoke.

Of course it''s just a matter of preference.
