Got a little something from Australia the other day. If anyone is interested in a write up on the swap process, let me know and I'll do it. Enjoy!

matches up very nicely.

for the JDM touch.

BTW, does the horn work, obviously you cant test out the airbag, but do the connectors match?

It'll just leave an imprint of a griffon instead of the mark of the 'L' on his forehead when it explodes

Good job man, not my taste as I like our Lexus trim. I lived in Aus for the past 4 years so I have been down the soarer route and I just don't like that griffin thing, neither does the wife and we share the car. But here in the U.S. it does make the car a bit unique and it matches your wheel nicely.
Props.

Thanks for all the compliments!

Mr.John, everything works as original. It's plug and play. Fortunately, I did NOT get a chance to try out the airbag. Horn honks nicely, though. The JDM airbag is an exact match. The only difference is in the cover design.

Dave, I hope that never happens! If it does, I'll have a nice JDM scar.

Addidas, if lex wants/needs a write up for his site, I'll do it. Actually Rob Hayden from AU gave me the tech instructions for the charge dissassembly, so I definitely want to give him credit for that.

siniquezu, originally, the bag was grey. A black Soarer bag is very rare, so I'm told, so Rob had it color matched to a factory black Soarer interior in AU.

Henri, this was a trade I did with Rob Hayden. My costs are $35 USD for color change, and about $35 for shipping my Lexus bag to Rob in AU. Rob Informed me that he has another grey Soarer bag he is willing to trade for a Lexus bag. As you can see, they can be colored to whatever you need. I am very impressed with the dye job, as it's much better quality than I have been able to find locally.

are you able to drive the vehicle while the bag is out? I actually prefer the Lexus badging, but I was just curious in case I ever change my mind

It is possible, but I wouldn't do it. For safety reasons that are obvious, and you would have an airbag warning light to reset if you reconnected the battery and started the car with the airbag out. Much easier to do the swap all at once. Whole procedure took about 1 hr. OK, it took me a little longer, but thats because I changed my battery to an Optima red top (which involved modding the battery tie down) since I had to disconnect anyway. But I'm guessing by your thingy that you may never unbolt anything on your steering wheel anyway.
