Default Tilt/Telescoping Steering wheel

I am still having problems with my tilt mechanism. Does anybody have this problem? The wheel stops tilting, and will only telescope. It is like driving a tractor. Any fix? I took it into an auto electrical shop, they fixed it, 4 months later it stopped tilting again. I took it back, they fixed it again, and explained to me that they had really not done anything- they just "moved" the wires, and it started working again. I tried moving the wires, nothing changed...

To all who either have, or are parting out a SC: Do you have the spare part?

Thanks,

Altstadt

you dont need a new one, you need a competent mechanic with a soldering iron to fix the connection problem.

I hope the place you brought it to didn't charge you for "moving wires".

Thanks ONE. I will try that first.

I did pay them the first time, but they said no further charges if I bring it back again.

Well how courteous of them, pay us to do nothing, and then when you return (because we didn't fix your problem initially) and we still do NOTHING you won't have to pay us for it! What a great business! That's genius!...friggin' idiot mechanics...I hate 'em...
