i’m buying a 1999 sc400 that has a bad relay integration. it’s not allowing the low beams to turn on but i need them to be able to drive, does anyone know if the ones from the ls’s will fit?? or does anyone have some good knowledge on what part number it is or any sort of help? thanks!!
I don't have a Diagram for a 1999 SC specifically, but if a 1993 model is in any way similar, there is a simple way to test if an Integration Relay is at fault - simply Flash the High Beams and watch if the Low Beams would come On as well.
Low Beams in that car are triggered by Two separate signals, one comes from a Light Switch, directed through an Integration Relay for the Auto shut-off function, the other signal comes from a High Beam Switch, a Flash function triggers both Low and High beams Directly, without going through an Integration Relay, hence if Low Beams come On, you do have an issue with an Integration Relay, though I am not sure exactly how Fog Lights would manage to fry it.
I would be careful buying this car it's unusual for the integration relay to be fried if that is indeed the case. Could be an indication of bigger electrical issues. To answer your question this part is unique to the SC400 going by part numbers.
