Default Clicking sound inside console

I have a 1997 SC400 that has been stored for a couple of years. I was getting it back in shape today, and while checking the exterior lights, I notices a loud click when I depressed the brake pedal. The car was parked. I put my finger on the cover at the base of the shift lever, and I couid feel the vibration through the plastic. Any idea what this might be? I'm not looking forward to pulling the console apart if I don't have to. Thanks.

It's the shift interlock. Start worrying when you don't hear it.
