Hey guys, Ive recently been looking for a body kit for my 95' sc300. Ive seen alot of the duraflex kits which are relatively cheap. Has anyone used these and have and further information on them? Should I stay away from these or are they decent? Ive obviously seen the KBD kits as theyre pretty common but I want to try and steer away from the norm and have something different. Any suggestions or pointers to other body kits ? Thanks in advance for any insights or suggestions.
Duraflex is weak and tends to crack quite easily because it is fiberglass. If you want to stay with a fiberglass kit I would go with a reputable brand like B&N or Vertex, although they are quite pricey. I personally would go with a KBD kit as their stuff is almost impossible to break, however getting proper fitment is a bit of a task sometimes. I probably would recommend going KBD as its not too expensive or a reputable fiberglass kit unless you are handy with fiberglass and are okay doing a bunch of repairs on the cheaper stuff.
I moved off of a cheaper fiber glass front to the KDB and had a good experience with fitment. In fact, I hated the fit of the first front bumper and tried a second fiber glass style that was far worse than the first one before trying the KDB.
Original. First after market front; low cost and poor fit. Slot being in the middle left no room for a badge. KDB. Added the badge a few months back.
