95 SC300 Help. Passenger door won't open.
 

The interior door handle broke off. The electric locks work. The passenger exterior door handle wont open door either. I can't get the interior door panel off unless the door is open. Have to do repair myself. HELP HELP

A picture of the damage would be helpful.

If there is at least something remaining of the Interior door handle, you can try screwing a very long screw into it and using it as a lever, there isn't much left to loose for that handle, if there is nothing left at all, you will have to look for a slim Jim, or take the bezel for the interior door handle out, though you will likely have to replace it afterwards.

whatever you do , do not roll that passenger window down, it will bend/ damage the rod that is attached to the door handle. best bet is to brake the interior door handle all the way till you can reach the wire attached to it , then use some long nose pliers and pull the wire , it will be the one with blue plastic peace on it, that should unlock the door. at this point you can temporarily unlock the door by pulling on that wire , but i would not recommend doing it too many times, what you will need is the little plastic peace that clips on to the outside door handle part number is 69293-12030 driver side is yellow passenger side is white, i would get it from Lexus or Toyota, i have tried the amazon once and did not last a week. once u sort that out you can find handle for the interior from eBay. hope that helps. its going to be a pain in the ass but if i was you i would replace both driver and passenger at the same time, if the passenger side failed , chance is the driver side is due to fail soon.

There is a good video on you tube of modifying oem door handle and installing metal (chrome) one from LS400. Both of mine were new 5 years ago so I obtained 2 oem and have already converted one side. The article is in the FULLY SPOOLED series and you will have to find it but it was a cake walk for me. Good luck.

If you pull out the small cover, there’s a screw to pull the whole door handle. Use vise grip to manipulate the cable. Never roll down the window as you will get more problem. There’s a plastic thing that you have to swap for outside handle, even though you find it still good. You should swap it as you already have access to it. Once you open the door. There’s a big screw under the inside door handle that you have to unscrew to pull the whole cover.
