Default WTB: 2008 RX400h TAN tonneau cargo cover

I am looking for a tan cargo cover for a 2008 RX400h. My car VIN starts with JTJ which I am told indicates manufactured in Japan so I need to be sure tonneau cover comes from vehicle that starts with same 3 letters. Other than eBay are there other sites I should visit to try to find this?

Default Same boat

I just bought a lease-turn-in 2008 RX400H and am in the same boat as you, except I need a black cover. the leasee did not turn back the cover (and I don't know why the dealer did not make him pay for a new one...supposedly it is $800) and the dealer gave me a gray cover meant for a Canada built RX. Anyway, they owe me the correct cover. This is really annoying. Why would a deaer tolerate an incomplete return like this? I would not.

Anyway, your best bet will be eBay or a recycle yard that has a wrecked RX400H. It will not be cheap, though.

If you can find it, out wrecked (last November) RX330 (Japan made 2004) had exactly what you want. I'm sorry I did not keep the cover to use or sell. Who knew?

You did look in the small first compartment that is storage for the cover right in the back right? It is the one you push the two buttons and the flaps pop up out of the floor all the way in the back of the RX. I guess the 400 has this like the 350.

I had a similar situation. Bought a used 2008 RX350 AWD made in Japan, the dealer was up front with me, the cover that came with it was from a Canadian made vehicle. The headrest stems are larger on the Japaneese made vehicles, so it wouldn't fit. I told him to hold on to it and try to find me the correct one. For two weeks we both tried to find the correct one, we had no luck. I took it home, used a 15/32 drill bit in my drill press and carefully enlarged the holes in the connectors, being careful not to get to close to the tips. I smoothed it out with a small, fine, half round file. Now I'll be the first to admit it doesn't look 100% factory. But they work great and when they're connected to the head rests they look perfect.

Default tan cargo cover

I have a tan cargo cover from a 2005 Rx330. Iam now sure it would work with a 2008 model but
I will try it tomorrow.

Default Thought about that...

...and it will be my fall back if the dealer cannot come up with the correct cover, but if I do it, it will be with a black cover and not the gray one they gave me. (Car interior is black.)
