Great to see fellow members have helped you. Nothing more to add but to change the battery. It's normal after 4-5 years it needs replacing and CPO should cover it. Or worst case, as Pesttt said, get one from Costco (~$80) you can buy and install yourself fairly easily.
NOTE: Welcome to the forum. It's fairly quiet when it comes to members posting issues so when the rare one comes in, we're always anxious to jump in and help.
My dealer said CPO doesn't cover battery. I have factory battery but that has condition of "50000 miles or 4 years, whichever comes first". I have 43000 miles but its slightly beyond 4 years. So I have to buy battery on my own..Not good but I am ok with it..
It will probably be cheaper to buy it on your own than to have paid Lexus the difference for whatever was left in the pro-rated life of your old battery (if you had coverage).
I had a Costco battery die just before the end of the warranty period. They gave me a new battery in exchange for the old one, no questions asked. I think I have a lifetime battery if this keeps up.
Hi everyone,
My lexus rx350 is not starting anymore. it was working fine till the day before. I couldn't start it 3 days ago. I felt the steering wheel was stuck. Next day it even was displaying that "steering wheel locked."I tried again but it didn't start. I read on this forum and tried to turn steering wheel right and left, while start mode on. Steering wheel didn't give away after trying vigorously, so i hit the start button and it did give away but car still didn't start. My joystick for the navigation was shaking. The indicators on the display were vibrating. After 30 seconds or so it stopped on its own. then It started showed "check AWD system" message.
I am still unable to start the car..Please help..Is my battery dying?(other things like navigation, music etc. are still working) would it be risky to try jump start if battery is not dead yet?
I am freaked out..
Hello, I have similar problem in my 2010 RX350 AWD is just drove 39,000Km. Yesterday the vehicle was still running good. Last night is extremely cold. Today, we cannot start the vehicle, when press START button, can heard "dddddddd...." sound. I jump start it with my other car. It starts, but it then show several Warning Lights: in the middle "CHECK AWD SYSTEM", the ENGINE SERVICE light, the SLIP CONTROL light, and the EXCLAMATION MARK light. But it runs just like normal. (see the photo attached).
Anyone know what is the problem? What shall I do with it?

Sounds like ur battery needs to be replaced....if its under warranty, then it should get replaced at no charge...otherwise, your local Costco should have what you need.
Hope it helps.

Agreed. Same symptoms in my previous 2006 RXh when the battery was needing replacement. Warnings went away as soon as a new battery was in place.
This is recent situation that I was faced with as well. Break jammed, Steering locked, Check AWD system and few more sigs apart from RX not starting and clicking sound.
Just Press Break with Accelerator and press ignition or start engine button and the car will start. This releases the Anti theft System which occurs if the car is just powered to use screens and other electronics.
Hope it helps If you are faced with this predicament.
