Default DIY oil filter change 2005 RX330...Pictures!

I finally had the time to change my oil over the weekend.....very easy! See pictures!

First, you gotta remove the bottom plastic panel. I removed the front and oil section panel off.
There was no need to remove the front panel off (top of picture)...but I wanted to remove it so I could take pictures and show it to all of you. Bottom picture is the oil section plastic panel. (4 screws to remove).

Here is the oil filter replacement in place. Part # 90915-YZZD1. Made in Thailand.
Notice there is a oil funnel (very smart!) oil will drop directly down to your dirty oil container.

Lextranny, the pics are great, I wish the 300 had the oil drip funnel !! I have a mess every time I change my oil and sometimes a mess when the dealer does it.

Is it just me or did you have her flipped over on her back when you took the pics?

Just looks like the pics are UP-SIDE-DOWN or the car.

Nice pics though. What brand oil filter do you use?

Is just you...... the pictures were taken from underneath the car. For now I use OEM. But, will soon switch once I find a better filter for less the cost.

The funnel is the black part underneath the oil filter.

Default Do you have to raise the car on a Jack to get to the filter?

Thanks for sharing.
