Default 255/50x18 tires on std rims

Just wondering if anyone has fitted this size to standard 8x18 alloys, and if so did they foul, did you need spacers and if so how much?

From my calcs they will fit if lucky but more than likely require 10mm or 15mm spacers for safety?

Just seems to be many more tyres available in this size over here in the UK than 245's......

Best regards David

I just installed 18x8.5 with 255 55 18 tires. I used 15mm spacers. Its just because my wheels have 38 offset. So it depends on the offset of your wheels.

I have standard 18" RX rims (UK 03MY type) which I believe have 38mm offset....so seems I might need small spacers....as yours are 1/4" wider on the inner rim than mine and your using 15mm spacers...I might get away with just 5 or 10 spacers? Hmmm....thats quite good news.

Cheers matey.

Best regards David

Some have 38 offset but used 245 or less width for tires. And did not need any spacers.

Good luck
