Front bumper rock chip
Hello,
I have a 2025 rx 350h Iridium color. I have a rock chip on my front bumper, I used the Lexus touch up pen to touch up but the color doesn’t match. The touched up area doesn’t a lot darker than the oem paint.
Does anyone have a similar experience? Especially on Iridium color.

I had already planned to have PPF put on the front end of the car. The detail shop did an excellent job of touching up before applying the film. Can’t even tell the chips were ever there.
You can choose to live with it since no one else will ever notice it. Or you can have a pro fix it.
But I strongly recommend the PPF on the front end. M

They said iridium.
Dr. Color Chip has been great for me but it can never match eminent white pearl.

Unfortunately, once you SEE a chip, you can't UN-SEE it.
PaintScratch.Com guarantees their paint to match, as does AutomotiveTouchup.com
Can't remember if DrColorchip does.
If someone says "your bumper is chipped" tell 'em not to look down there!!!

For some colors, emminent white pearl which is a three stage pearl paint, Dr ColorChip specifically tells you it cannot be matched perfectly.

To make a "spot paint" unnoticeable you have to paint the bumper. Then....once you paint the bumper you may notice a different shade from the hood\trunk that it's up against. That won't be noticeable to most as the bumper has that "break" between it and the nearest next body part. Over my life auto paint has gotten much better. But color match is still tough.
