Any you Apple users out there try the Siri Shortcuts for Lexus? I just discovered it - can lock, unlock, start, or stop by saying... hey Siri, lock car... etc. Even works with my Apple Watch that has cellular connection. Pretty surprised. Not sure if the Lexus app has to be running in the background or not. Seems more convenient than the digital key I have read about on the forum. My iPhone is always with me.

Interesting and thanks. I always have my Lexus key fob along with my house and mailbox key. So a digital key provides no purpose for me. I do like the idea of being able to control some remote Lexus functions by voice.

 

What APP are you using to access SIRI commands? My Lexus app does not work and I have updated software. Driving a 2025 RX 350 premium plus , Copper crest and black interior. Maybe only on luxury model?

 

My Lexus app includes the Siri Shortcuts. Open the Lexus app, then select Remote, then on that same page under a picture of you vehicle, touch "Info". On the bottom of the page that shows up --- is Siri Shortcuts. I have found the voice commands work regardless of whether the Lexus app is running, or not. Can even start, stop, lock and unlock my Lexus from my Apple Watch. Lexus makes an app for the Apple Watch, and it works as above for me. Speak into my iPhone or watch, and the command is executed. Pretty cool. Way more useful to me than a digital key, for my purposes anyway.

 

The Lexus app in my case. Make sure the vehicle you want to use it on has been designated default vehicle if two or more infamily. Using Siri seems to be much quicker than the Lexus app by itself. The digital key has been useless for me.

Siri is not available in the Copper Crest cars.

Just kidding, paint color has nothing to do with it.

Siri works just fine in our 2025 Premium Plus. I didn’t have to set up anything in the app. It’s just there. Car play, maybe?

I do use CarPlay, always... maybe that is part of the magic.

 

I just wish it was reliable and not nearly as buggy. Been sitting here watching football and playing with this feature. The first time I tried it with the Lexus app open and it worked great. Then I closed the Lexus app and it wouldn’t work. So, I opened the app up again and now it wouldn’t work at all. Tried unlocking phone and wouldn’t work. Tried locking the screen and it wouldn’t work. Now I keep getting this pop up. Too buggy for me. When it did work it did it much quicker than using the app. Too bad.

 

Weird it the "Siri Shortcuts" option doesn' show for me.

Do you have the Digital Key setup? Maybe that is a requirement?

Anyone else have luck setting up the "Siri Shortcuts"?

I do not have a Digital Key. I do have all the Connected Services they give you with a new vehicle (except the vehicle WiFi). So digital rearview mirror support, smartphone/app support, etc. The things you have to pay for later after the first three years or whenever the included period runs out. In case it matters I have in iPhone 16 Pro running iOS 26.1. The Lexus app is the newest version available.

 

I do have all the connected services as well and I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max running iOS 26.1 with the newest version of the Lexus app. Hmmmm....

 

I was able to create a shortcut in the Shortcuts app to lock or start my Lexus but it doesn't appear in the Lexus app.

 

That is really strange. I always use CarPlay. Not sure if CarPlay use is required but I wouldn't think so as it only activates after the vehicle starts, but who knows. I only have one designated driver set up, and it is me. See the post in this thread that mentions designated driver, maybe that is part of it.
