Default RX350h high revving engine

Has anyone with a hybrid engine noticed the engine revving high going down hills? This happens in my car every time I going down a grade and occasionally during flat driving. The engine finally settles down once I am on flat pavement. I am concerned the engine is getting over stressed. My MPG does not suffer though as I am still getting nearly 40 MPG.

That's your car switching from regenerative braking to engine braking to slow you down on a downhill incline. Once you get on a flat surface again the engine braking stops. Perfectly normal hybrid operation and your engine isn't getting over stressed.
