I purchased the 2023 model RX for my wife, so I only recently started driving it more to evaluate this issue. The very first time, I chalked it up to the small 4 cylinder, and turbo lag. But under normal acceleration, without traffic approaching, it is pretty responsive. But I was at a busy intersection and turned into oncoming traffic, the oncoming truck was not very close but it was travelling at a moderate rate of speed...when I pulled into traffic, it was almost as if the car confused about going or not, but by this time it was too late for me to stop since I was already in the middle of traffic, luckily it finally kicked in and sped off. The next time I was exiting the interstate at another busy intersection, again, the car was not very close, but it was travelling at a decent rate of speed. I attempted to turn out, but it was barely moving. This time I stopped, almost causing the car behind me to rear end me, as it was about to come out also.
This only occurs when trying to merge into oncoming traffic, so I am thinking it's the annoying collision system causing the issue...anyone else having this problem?

 

YIKES! I had that problem with a Chrysler. Some weird CVT issue.

 

Maybe Proactive Driving Assist is turned on. Might check for that in your setup. If it is, turn it off. It can be quite intrusive at times.
