Default Return to last setting after max cool?

So now that it's hot in Pittsburgh, I'm enjoying the "Max Cool" shortcut button. But I have a question: Is there a "return to what you had before" button? In other words, once you hit Max Cool, the car calls for "LO" (maximum A/C). Once the car cools after a few minutes, is there an easy "one touch" button that takes it back to the last setting under "AUTO". Say back to 72 degrees AUTO? Or must I manually turn up the temp control to 72 degrees, which is what I've been doing?

Hey Lexus, set temperature to 72. That should work, I haven’t tested it.

Yeah, that works too. About the same effort as twisting up to 72.

It is sad you have to look when adjusting the temp. A up and down button would be my preference or some kinds of feedback while turning the ****.

So just got back from a week’s vacation with the RX so it’s the first time I ever got into the car when it was scorching hot inside. I think you’re asking the wrong question daryll40. The question should be why the heck the car doesn’t automatically go into max cool to cool a very hot car down to your set temp quickly. Isn’t that the whole idea with auto climate control? Climate concierge on or off the RX seems happy to take an hour to get the car down to your set temp.

You can actually, by configure the custom touch buttons on the steering wheel (if you have the HUD). I have configure it so I can change temperature and AC / airflow control. It’s a very handy option. No need to use the dials anymore!

The audio controls will still be on one of the two pages of controls for the left side. You can only modify the second page.

Thanks for this. I’ll play with it and see what happens.

EDIT: This was SOMEWHAT useful. You still have to re-manually set the temperature after CoolMax, and you still have to go into the screen settings to get to CoolMax. But it’s sorta useful to be able to adjust the temperature on the steering wheel. It would be nice to have a "CoolMax" shortcut button then a "back to whatever it was before CoolMax" shortcut button.

Hit climate on the bar near the bottom and you’ll see it.

The question should be why the heck the car doesn’t automatically go into max cool to cool a very hot car down to your set temp quickly.
Isn't the cold air quantity the same when EITHER the MAX COOL is selected, or the Climate Concierge is trying mightily to reduce the cabin temp?

The difference being that the Concierge will reduce the blower speed (and noise) as the temp comes into line...whereas the Max Cool setting will try to create icicles until you turn it off...

Have not encountered conditions to test this, so far. Waiting to hear from the Heat Island area owners!
