Was coming home from the restaurant tonight with the wife listening to music on a USB stick. I decided I wanted to listen to a certain music track so I hit the voice command button and select track and the song name. Damn car said I needed to sign into an Apple Music account. Epic fail there IMHO. My 7 year old VW will search the current source for the song instead of wanting to use a subscription service.

 

I have had voice command issues also. It's usually when I set my phone as a wifi hotspot. I would either get an error message about internet not available or it not recognizing what I am asking. I have found that using android auto and google voice command to be much more reliable and easier to use. Even the google navigation seems to be more reliable. It's such a hassle to switch back and forth between AA and wifi connect.

 

On my issue, going through the manual it appears the RX does not support voice commands for the USB stick. I hope they add that.

 

Good to know. I had not tried using voice while using my usb stick. I had been focused on using voice with Amazon Music. Seems like the more tech you have, the bugs that show up.
