Cool 2019 RX 350 Cover just bought

I just purchased a 2019 RX 350. I love it. Thing is i have a RXH450 in the Garage which is my wives. My Garage will not fit two vehicles. So I thought purchasing a cover for the new 2019 RX to protect it from the weather as it will be sitting outside. Does anyone have any suggestions on a cover, will this help, not worth it, or what? It really sounds like it could be a chore as i work every day and would have to remove it in the morning then get to work. Plus I am in the sunny South, we get plenty of sunshine and rain. Any thoughts on a cover is it worth the money and would it really protect the vehicle? If so would you just purchase it from Lexus?

Chances are your going to spend allot of money on a cover, use it for the first week or two and then dump it in the garage to never be seen again. Save your money for a nice detail job instead once or twice a year. Don’t forget your also only supposed to cover a freshly washed or waxed car with clean paint. Putting a cover on a dirty / dusty you might as well rub it with 2000 grit sandpaper.

I agree.

Or, buy a tarp cover for cars and anchor it down to the pavement. If you get severe weather, just remove the tarp.

Check out Covercraft “Ultra Tech” custom car cover; used them for years, no problems. Will not damage paint.
https://www.covercraft.com/us/en/pro...r-cover.C-CCUT. $416.

Yes, it WILL become a chore in a short time. If you need it for work each day and the cover is wet and/or dirty, what are you going to do with it? Can't fold it.
As others have mentioned, just keep it clean and waxed and you'll be fine.

Don't cover it. I used to take very good care for my car. When i traded it in, what they did was asking for my registration and that's it. No one cared about my car is new or how i have been taking care of. It was the NX. Now i just wash the car once in a while, keep it clean. If i have time, i can send it in for detail job. Other than that, i have tried to give it less attention like i used to.

I agree with this comment. It only takes one tiny dust or grain particle between the cover and the body of the RX to damage your vehicle. When you put on and take off the cover, you can't be 100% sure the surface is super clean. It is impossible to check everything. Yes, vehicles do scratches and my RX even has a windshield crack, but I would intentionally scratch the paint.
