What were the first things you added to your RX?
Hey guys,
Just picked up a 2016 RX 350 Luxury trim last month. Absolutely love the car. Not sure why but over in the Westcoast everyone seems to be buying Subaru's..so I'm more than happy to buck the trend.
What were some of the first things you guys added to your RX? Anything from roof racks, bike racks, to phone mounts, weather mats, etc. Excited to see what I can do.
Looking forward to your responses!

Congrats on your RX. Welcome!
First thing for me was front window tint. Probably won't mod it out as I like the car as is. 2018 RX Prem

Congrats man I picked mine up last month. First thing I ordered were brown weathertech liners, and the OEM Lexus all weather trunk mat. Since I’ve installed the door led Lexus projector bulbs, cool white led mirror bulbs, trunk bulbs, reverse bulbs. Ohh yeah and the center console tray as well. I’m really fighting the urge to buy the 20” wheels as mine came with the 18’s.

“Day 2” mods on our new ‘19 RX 350L Lux include: Thule Aero roof racks, Husky All Weather floor mats, Xpel PPF on hood and front bumper facia, Curt Hitch #13394, paint correction before applying Blackfire paint sealant. Congrats on your RX purchase.

PPF, factory mud guards, and replaced all door, rear area and reverse lights with LEDs. Still have the factory door guards uninstalled as my wife is not sure she likes the look of them. Purchased center console aftermarket tray, but have not used it.

Thanks for all the great responses and warm welcomes!
I can't do the window tint as it's not legal in my province. Car came with the stock Lexus mats as well as trunk mat, so I probably won't replace them.
LED bulbs I'll replace as they burn out.
Dash cam and rear cam just installed!
Considering getting a Thule roof rack and box for the summer.
Just ordered the centre console tray!

I did the factory roof-rack and like how it looks (especially on black or caviar)... also did the OEM "flaps" and OEM all-weather mats (all around). I've had Weathertech in every car/truck over the past 10 years, and I definitely like the look of the Lexus all-weather mats (at nearly the same price). They match the factory carpet perfectly (in color) and have branding that matches the other wood in the car. (2-tone match). I also bought the running/side boards, but haven't installed them yet as I'm not entirely decided on them. They don't stick out past the doors, but they add the thickness of the door to your step in/out of the car. So basically it puts your seat (and the passenger's) about 4+ inches further away. I can't imagine anyone actually USES the side boards as a step, except to reach the roof while the door is open. The car isn't tall enough to need a step, but I liked how it looked on the other RXs... and now that I have it, I'm not sure if I want the extra reach getting in and out.
And I just finished a full ceramic tint today (all but the windshield).
Speaking of dash-cam and rear-cam... in the App Store I saw a Chinese app that let's you use the front/rear cams in the car through your phone as a DVR of whatever it sees. My curiosity is peaked, but not enough to experiment with an app that's mostly in Chinese.

Honestly, the first thing I did after we picked up our *new to us* 2016 was a full-on amateur detail work; Clay barred the entire car, polished and waxed. I then browsed the forum for known issues/TSB. Given our car is a CPO, we wanted to get all of the issues that the previous owner might have neglected fixed.
We just picked the car back up yesterday after resolving the AC gurgling and some random noise coming near the transmission area (Bolt needed to be tightened).
All weather mats were also thrown in, so we replaced the stock mats with these.
