Playing DVD on 12.3 Nav Display
Does the 4th Gen RX 350 have an option to play DVD on the 12.3 display using the the CD player? My Lexus 2019 Quick Guide manual has a section for playing DVD and stated display full screen video, not sure if this exist as I was not told about this feature. From what I understand if the feature does work, it should only work in park mode and wont play video while in drive mode. Can some confirm if the feature works thanks.

You also must set the parking brake. The sound from a DVD will play while moving.

I know you already got your answer... but I've been talking about this over the past couple weeks in other threads, and yes, it plays DVDs (not Blu-Ray)... which is freakin' awesome. I'm wondering if I make my own home DVDs at the full resolution of the screen if it will auto-wide-view the scenes... I'll try it and post back when I find out, but yeah, playing DVDs is pretty cool. The image turns back to GPS when you start driving, but the sound continues... and that sound... is glorious... just like a theater... full center/surround. Movies are really enjoyable to listen to.
The other benefit of the unit recognizing/playing DVDs... is you can (also can iPhone or whatever, but sound quality is GREAT with DVD)... you can burn a writable DVD with 320 bit rate mp3... and fit 600(!) songs on one DVD... and just leave it in the head-unit as a 600 song juke box... with excellent sound quality.
