Smile Buttons on the left side of the steering wheel?

Does anyone know what the eight buttons are for on the left side of the steering wheel?

From top left to bottom right: activates auto high beams -> open/closes tailgate -> turns off/on head up display -> heated steering wheel -> activates 360 camera

Hybrids have a button to open the fuel door to the right of the HUD. Not sure what the other two blank buttons are for, but sometimes they are intentionally blank.

Hey guys, I think the OP wants to know what the blank buttons might be used for. He asked about the “eight” buttons. I have the same question.

Sorry, I don't own the car yet...just trying to do some research and I noticed these blank buttons, of which there are 4 top and 4 bottom. This picture shows 5 of the 8.

Friend, you don’t have to be sorry; if you don’t know, you ask, and that’s how we learn. Blanks simply fill an empty space, and it’s more common to find blanks on pickup trucks than luxury cars/SUV’s. Example: Mods such as light switches can be added to the blank space. Have a great day.

Page 18 of the Owner's Manual covers the five (5) buttons. Blanks are often used as ericsan13 mentioned for
model specific features or alternate geographic location driven vehicle and sometimes future needs. RX used
to offer an adjustable suspension level control that had a button on the dash. Power rear seats are non-existent
in this market but would have control buttons here. The Hybrid 450h doesn't unlock its fuel door with the doors
as with the gas 350's so have the traditional fuel door release that ericsan13 discussed.

The Lexus Technology Specialist is just that, specializes in explaining high tech cars to low tech guests. The sales
process tends to overload and overwhelm even the most energetic and interested guest after a couple of hours.
Please return and receive the value you paid for and learn how to get the features to work. Most of my guests
learn by doing rather than by reading. You can fake it when you buy a new Microwave Oven or Bread Maker but
how many of us know how to take a good backlit photo with our new iPhone XIV?
