Is this acceptable on a brand new vehicle?
Forgive me if this is the wrong thread, but I just took delivery of a brand new 2019 RX 350 F sport series 2 a few days ago.
Came home and noticed these micro scratches on the piano black finish traction control button and what appears to be scratches (defects?) on the metal trim piece...
Is there anything the dealer can do for me??
How bad is this??

I’m only asking because I noticed something similar yesterday on the my 2019 RX on two of the climate control buttons - looked like scratches - I took a little Windex on a paper towel and it wiped off but it took some elbow grease. Have you tried cleaning it?
Was it there when you took delivery? Over the years my final walk around has gotten much more detailed and I take a good 20 mins of looking and rubbing my fingers of the body and interior trip pieces before I sign on the dotted line. I have found issues (not with Lexus) that resulted in me purchasing a different car or requiring the dealership to fix something before I’d take ownership.
If those are legit scratches - ask the dealership what they think and what they can do for you? What do you have to lose? My guess is some will fix it under goodwill and some will claim it wasn’t there at delivery and clearly you scuffed the button in the last two days.

That would drive me crazy but it looks like if it might be some sort of adhesive. I took delivery of my RX and it was raining allot that week but I did the deal on Monday picked it up and Friday. It stopped raining a few hrs before I picked it up which was 45 minutes before closing. I was super excited to pick it up and they had it in the indoor handoff room but they really did a horrible job prepping it. I still have (pickup was last week) dirt marks like big spots all over the dash and pillars and they left the little factory stickers all over on the inside and outside. There like 1/4” x 1/4” and the mats were all still in the trunk. I got a really good deal about 90 minutes from home so not worth following up with this brand new 8 mile RX but still a little disappointing.

If they are scratches I'd be going to the dealer to get them replaced under warranty - car shouldn't delivered like that. Be prepared for them to say it happened after it left their dealership.
