Turn off POI on 2016 RX 350

Just purchased a CPO 2016 RX350. This is our third RX but many more features than our older models. On the freeway the navi screen opens a new window with multiple POI for every exit. Very annoying. Is there a way to turn off this function? If it matters, our car has the large (11.5"?) display.

I can't say for sure how it works with the RX, but, with other Lexus models, you need to start by clicking on the menu (3 horizontal bars) on the map screen. Then you will be given various options with regard to what information you want to be included on the map and what you want to be disabled. With other Lexus models, though, you won't be given the option to change what you are interested in changing unless you are actually on a freeway where the exit information is appearing. If you are not on a freeway, the option to disable the exit information will be grayed out and will be unavailable.

Thanks Lesz. I will have to try that. The 'feature' did not show up driving around our local area (including freeways) but when I drove to a larger city it started. I just sat in the driveway trying to (unsuccessfully) to turn it off. Nothing in the owners manual. I found different techniques on the forum but for older/different vehicles. The only time I can imagine using POI is on long trips for gas & food. Any other time I don't want or need the pop-ups.

Try the NAV manual instead of the main one.
