Default Putting 2018 rx350 f sport on lease22busters

So my stolen 2018 RX350 F Sport 2 got recovered from being stolen (2.5 weeks later) and is at the dealership being repaired. It was found in a shipping container and all panels except 2 (roof and rear hatch) need repainting. $15k in repairs.

I know it will be in showroom condition when I get it back but just don’t want it anymore given it was stolen. I have a great monthly payment and it is just 6 months old with 4,000 km.

Thinking of putting on leasebusters but wonder if any person looking to take this over will want me to fork over thousands of $ as an incentive since it was stolen and recovered?? It will look brand new and there is no liability for new lessee when returning at lease end as repairs were done by Lexus.

Thoughts??? Want to get into new RDX A-Spec.

That sucks!! First of all, read all about a Diminished Value claim, Immediate or inherent.
For example here is the CA link:
https://www.collisionclaims.com/cali...inished-value/
This refers to collisions, however I think your car might qualify, it certainly should.

I live in Canada so this doesn't apply .It is also a lease and I am not liable for any decreases in residual value as a result of the repairs. That's why I am hoping someone else won't be put off taking over the lease as there is no financial penalty to them when they return it after 4 years.

Oops, my bad for not reading your post correctly. So even though it will not cost anything for you to hold on the the attractive lease you want sell the lease now to buy the Acura. Is this because you just want to own a car that was stolen or was repaired or you feel you made a mistake and should have bought the Acura in the first place??

Not interested in driving a car that was stolen AND the RDX is cheaper and just as sharp looking.

RDX much smaller. Sharp car my coworker just landed one. But apples and oranges compared to the RX. 4cyl turbo requires premium fuel as well.
