Did you all know that Lexus has an update for certain cars to upgrade the oem system to add carplay (and it’s free)?? My dad just got his LC500H updated but it’s NOT available for the RX. Just wanted to share that they did that which was a bit of a surprise to me.
Yup, but those cars has enform 2.0. The RX still has enform 1.0, which sucks

We need to buy a new dongle (they probably add the bluetooth and wifi chip to the dongle). I ordered it. They said it will be shipped by end of this month because some bugs need to be fixed.
nevermind. i read this on my phone and thought it was an oem solution. now i understand it's a wireless carplay option for the aftermarket carplay. thanks

How’d you order it? When I click place order, it says back ordered.
It’s not available yet. The seller said there is a bug need to be fixed. They said est time available is june 3.
the bugs is some communication between android box and carplay dongle, need a little time to solve.
a little drawback is the operation has about 1 second delay when operate by iphone wirelessly. and first time connection takes about half minutes, but subsquently will be very quick, about 5 seconds.
How long does it take to install the autoplay update? I have been sitting in the car for more than 10 min now and I’d still installing, something wrong here?
