I tried to read this thread as my wife wants a 2018 RX350L but it doesn't have navigation. Will this work with the 8" non-navigation screen?
Also, any major issues with install and sound quality?

The seller asks you for your config or a pic from your car to align the device to your screen size etc. Should work fine on a 8" screen also; albeit with a smaller display. A few pages back someone posted another device which would allow you to upgrade the smaller 8" to a 12.3" but you'd loose the OEM system going that route...

Installed it over the weekends, and works great(there're few glitches but can live with it)
Thx to @qvtruong for starting this thread and sharing valuable information.
Took me about 2hrs, installation itself was not that bad.
The worst part is putting everything into stereo bay.
It's big enough to put everything in but wasn't simple task.
And be very careful when you remove/install screws which hold the stereo system.
I dropped one, could not rescue it, so had to stop by home depot....
Ordered on 2/20 and received on 3/9.
Seller is very responsive and supportive.
Bottom line is
this box is worth ~$600 and 3hrs of my free time.

Sure,
as I said, it's not major..
1. when car is starting i hear some static sounds coming from car speaker. Maybe i connected car's speaker to the box thru AUX.
I am trying to resolve this but no luck yet.
2. Sometimes, when carplay is on and change the gear shift(P to D) then screen goes black.
Press the back button then it comes to normal carplay screen.
If I found other issues or glitches, I will post it.

Ordered on 23rd, arrived today. Took a few hours to install but wasn't too bad. Want to add that make sure you use a 10mm socket, imperial ones won't work. I lost my 3/8 socket, it's somewhere down there. Thank God it didn't create rattle or anything. When you are removing the screen, note that the cover comes off, and then there is a bolt at the back where you need to loosen.
Apple carplay works perfect, however, Android auto is stretched. It seems like a Android problem as there are many complaints on the forum.
Currently I have my phone connect to Bluetooth on car, then car set to AUX. In this case, hang up pick up button still works and other sound will go through wire.
My only complaint would be that Android auto stretched screen and the Charing speed. On my phone it shows 8 hours till fully charged. And as I'm writing this, I just lost 1% of my battery.

Quick update:
after contacting few sales specialists and getting no where with then.... one of them advised me to get another screen and try the unit with it to fix the resolution... that wasn’t by any means possible to me...
Then I had been contacted by someone called David, and I think he is the sales manager...
He gave me an update file and instructions to put it in a USB and hook it to the USB1 port to update the unit...

I got mine yesterday and now need to plan a day to install. Likely next saturday. I'd really like to run the usb cables and iphone cable into the center console storage area. I'm thinking a couple USB extensions to get them there...

I seem to be having the exact same problem as Waleedg. Press/hold the hang up button makes the screen flash and then freezes on the Lexus screen. Press/hold again, and it switches back to functioning Lexus screen. I am trying to reach out to Mr. Cosmo to get this resolved, but I'll take any pointers here.

i have an Android, so not sure about apple car play. If I connect my phone to the head unit via Bluetooth and skip BT it looks like I will have to use the next track/last track buttons as pickup/hangup. If I don't use BT then phone calls will go through my phone's speaker.
