2018 RX350 Tow Prep Package Contents
My 2018 RX350 has the Tow Prep Package from the factory.
I wrote to Lexus, and here is their reply:
"Our records show your vehicle is equipped with the Towing Prep Package that includes Transmission Oil Cooler & Heavy Duty Radiator but it does not include ball mount.
For your convenience, I have attached your vehicle build sheet for further review."
My reply back to them:
"Thanks, But the original question was:
The product brochure states that the Tow Prep Package has an engine oil cooler, HD alternator, and HD fan (with the transmission cooler and HD radiator)
Why is the product brochure different from the window sticker, which I have?"
The answer back from Lexus:
"Thank you for your follow up question.
After further review, I discovered that your vehicle is indeed equipped with the each component listed in the brochure. Given the product brochure is used for marketing purposes, it provides additional details for the Tow Prep Package. Whereas, the build sheet / monroney label implies the engine oil cooler, HD alternator, and HD far are part of the RX 350 equipped with the Tow Prep Package option.

The owner's manual also states that vehicles equipped with the Tow Package require 5.8 quarts of oil due to the oil cooler.

The brochure has all of the components included in the Tow Package,
The window sticker does not list all the components.
That was my confusion.
The brochure is correct according to Lexus.
