2016 RX 350 Air Conditioner Problem

Nearest Lexus dealership is about 75 miles so I took it to local Toyota. Car has 15,600 miles and is 2 years old so still in warranty. Toyota advised it needs a new new Driver Mix Servo Motor. Not sure if they tried the reset thing. But since it is under warranty I will go to dealer. Bummer is that I have a 5 hour drive to beach vacation tomorrow. Passenger side cools so we will hang with that until we return. Toyota advised $2500 repair outside of warranty. I don't expect this from an expensive vehicle with such low mileage and only 2 y/o. I will give Lexus the BOD ONCE-

I had to drive with driver side cold only for 30 miles to event.
Closed the hot vents, had to set temp to very low for relief on hot day. Horrible mileage during that drive while air on full blast.
Here is is what dealer wrote:
SERVICE: PERFORMED SOFTWEAR UPDATE AND RECHECKED SYSTEM OK NOW
DESCRIPTION: PERFORMED SOFTWEAR UPDATE AND RECHECKED SYSTEM OK NOW ~|~C/S: PASSENGER SIDE AIR VENTS INOP ., DOES NOT BLOW COLD PLS CHECK ~|~VERIFIED CUSTOMERS CONCERN. PERFORMED HEALTH CHECK DID NOT FIND DTC FOR AIR CONDITIONING. ~|~12542 VERIFIED CUSTOMER CONCERNS.
the upgrade had to do with servo, based on my questions to service Mgr.
