replacement cost of glass roof on RX350
I am changing insurance company's and am trying to figure out if it is worth getting the glass coverage - my main concern is for the glass roof. I bought the fully loaded 2017 RX350 sport package 3 this past January and already had a huge rock chip in the first 3 months and replaced the windshield for $1300 this past summer. With why new policy i won't have glass coverage and If i get the glass coverage, i would be covered for rock chip damage to the windshield and the glass roof panel (less the $500 deductible). The cost of the coverage will be an additional $500/year. Given the deductible, I don't think its worth getting just for the front windshield, but am not sure what the cost would be if the glass roof panel ever needed to be repaired.
I'm not sure how likely it is for rock or other road debris causing damage to the roof panel, or now much it would cost to repair. My regular coverage would till cover glass damage if it resulted in an accident, or hail damage.
I'd appreciate any advice, information on cost of roof replacement and perspective on whether its worth paying the extra $400/yr for the full glass coverage, over the limited coverage that will be in my ne policy.

I've never heard of glass coverage. Is it a Canadian thing? Here in the states, our comprehensive coverage takes care of glass.

most policies have limited glass coverage. Glass will be covered if damage occurs in an accident, or from natural occurrences like lightening or hail storms, or from vandalism and theft. However my policy does not cover front windshield from damage or theft. What is not covered unless you pay extra for complete glass coverage is glass damage from rock chip or road debris. In winter, the city will sand and apply gravel to the roads, so it’s not as slippery from snow and ice. As a result, you end up getting more risk of rock chip damage.
